Marie Bernadette Rouaux – Universal Language
My name is Marie-Bernadette Rouaux, I chose these few photos that recall me some “reflections and spaces” from Bretagne and some wonderful days in Croatia, its intensive blue and green beauty. I loved Varazdin under the rain, an evening at Zagreb, the river Sava near Cigoc, the green immersion at Plitvice, the Cadillac at Vitina in Herzegovina, the picnic at Majerovo Vrilo, the sunset on the Kornati, the isle of Solta where I feel at home. At 8 a.m., waiting for the departure to Split, I took two photos in the same moment , the rowboat on the quiet sea and the taking flight of a seagull. I felt the strange sensation of suspended time. When I take pictures, I feel fugitive sensations and deep feelings and it’s a great joy for me to share emotions without words, just going with the flow, “au fil de l’eau”.

Esther Gitman and Jadranka Juresko-Kero @ The Harriman Institute on November 3rd 2011
New York premier of the documentary film made by Jadranka Juresko Kero (photo left). This is a story about dr Esther Gitman, a historian of Jewish origins who has written the book “When Courage Prevailed”. Dr Gitman’s message is the film’s main motive. Her message is that the rescue of the Jews in the Independent State of Croatia and the role played by Archbishop Stepinac deserve internationalization so that the whole truth is known about the Croatian people whose courageous representatives were the only ones in Europe during World War II to openly oppose Hitler’s racist laws.

PRIJEDLOG ZAKONA O ODNOSIMA REPUBLIKE HRVATSKE S HRVATIMA IZVAN REPUBLIKE HRVATSKE
(E) Ante Gotovina
Ante Gotovina I do not know much about this man. What I do know is, when the barbaric hordes from the east bulldozed our Croatian graveyards, leveled our churches, raped our women as a tactics and weapon of war, this man among many others stood to defend Our Beautiful. The fact is that the Europe as a community stood by and watched, better to say encouraged barbaric hordes to finish what they started. This same Europe is giving us conditions, not to include us in their ‘civilized community’, but to buy us out like a banana republic. Most of the strategic industries are already bought thanks to spineless politicians or/and people who took advantage at the moment of war and confusion. If he wasn’t a hero during the war and by all accounts that I know, he was, then today he became one. Official stand on the issue, the way I see the history and truth is still nowhere in sight. Wealth of information and poverty of attention, especially for the issues that are beneficial to many. Selfish subjects, like traveling with the first class or economy… are solved quickly. Enough said. Shower Ante with love and affection. We Will Win. Nenad Bach Ante Gotovina P.O. Box 13888 2501 EW The Hague The Netherlands
Jack Baric presents Searching for a Storm
Is the UN complicit in the wartime tragedies of the former Yugoslavia … and is the Croatian general Ante Gotovina indicted for war crimes to justify their failed policies? Robin Harris, London: Gotovina is a scapegoat of the politics and judiciary.

US Census 2010 IMPORTANT for Croatian American families
I have not seen any brochure, any instructions to help Croatian American families on how to fill the US Census 2010. Every 10 years we have Census here in the United States of America. There is no obvious way to understand where to put your heritage. Proper census guaranties many benefits to follow for the community in general. So I posted a detailed sample of the question 9 of the Census. There are 2-3 million Croatian Americans, but when we count the census, not even close. So, take your pen and fill it properly.

Miroslav Tudjman kandidat za predsjednika Republike Hrvatske
Prof.dr. Miroslav Tuđman: politički i gospodarski uspješna Hrvatska nije moguća bez zajedništva domovinske i iseljene Hrvatske.
