Hommage Matku Peicu POZEGA, 9. veljace – Tocno 10. veljace 1923. godine u Pozegi je rodjen Matko Peic, veliki zaljubljenik u Pozegu i Vallis aureau, a ciji je stvaralacki opus od gimnazijskih dana u Pozegi do smrti vezan velikim dijelom za rodni grad. Iza akademika Matka Peica jednoga iz plejade hrvatskih velikana duha, slikara, povjesnicara umjetnosti i likovnog kriticara ostali su nezaobilazni putopisi, eseji, feljtoni i poezija, a njegov hedonizam i kontemplacija ponajbolje su se pronasli u poznatim Peicevim >Skitnjama<. Pozega je desetljecima bila puna Matka Peica, no i on je bio pun Pozege, a sve sto je napisao bila je oda zivotu, ali i covjeku. U opusu Matka Peica sveucilisnog profesora i akademika ostalo je 35 knjiga, vise od 1000 putopisa i eseja, te brojne, jos nedovoljno poznate slike. Za Pozegu, grad njegove mladosti i ljubavi njegova zivota Matko Peic je zapisao: >Za mene Pozega predstavlja najdublji inspirativni cinilac u mom radu i to kao slikara i kao knjizevnika.
