After 33 days in prison on the orders of the ICTY, Domagoj Margetic was released September 6th, 2006. He was not charged with anything during his detention. Indeed, he said he was prepared to abide with
I understand he is poorly due to the hunger strike he was on, and is now recuperating in hospital.
Whether the ICTY will proceed with an indictment is unclear. And we still have to get to the bottom of whether or not the list of names Domagoj published
was in fact made public by the ICTY prior to his doing so.
It’s worth noting that under UK anti-terrorist legislation, you can be held without charge for 28 days and no longer.
So, alleged crimes such as potting to blow up civilian airliners, killing hundreds, perhaps thousands of people, appears to be less of a crime than what Margetic did.
Which tells you something about the warped mentality of the likes of Carla Del Ponte and others at the ICTY.
