Ana Vidović, distinguished Croatian guitarist, continues to surprise us with a variety and quality of her classical guitar interpretations of famous composers. She was born in the city of Karlovac in Croatia, and completed the study of classical guitar at the Academy of Music of the University of Zagreb, which she inscribed at the age of 13! Goran Koncar distinguished Croatian violinist
Goran Konear started his international soloist career in 1982, undertaking guest tours in most European countries, the USA, Japan and Israel. In the period from 1984 to 1994 he was concert master of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, the Croatian Radio & Television Symphony Orchestra and the Zagreb Philharmonic. He also performed in many concerts with eminent orchestras and conductors throughout the world. He is the recipient of the Music Life award in Moscow (1980) for the performance of the Concerto for the Violin and Orchestra by Dmitri Shostakovich, the first prize at the International Competition in Bratislava (1984) and other top acknowledgments.

Known for her personality and profound musicianship, Ida Gamulin has established herself among the leading Croatian pianists. Her extensive repertoire ranged from baroque to contemporary, and she is acclaimed for her appearances with major symphony orchestras, as recitalist, chamber musician and recording artist. Her concert tours have taken her to almost all European countries, in the USA, Asia and South Africa. Apart from her solo career, Ida Gamulin has been full-professor at the Zagreb Music Academy and president of EPTA Croatia since 2004.

Nenad Bach's interviews to Croatian TV in 2017 and 2018 dealing with World Peace in One Hour
Nenad Bach is not only a distinguished Croatian musician, but also indifaguable proponent of world peace. He recently published an introductory article for the prestigious sicnetific journal called Journal of Global Health, published by the Univeristy of Edinbourgh in Scotland. The article deals with his goal of achieveing World Peace in One Hour . Here we present some of his appearances at the Croatian TV, dealing with questions of global peace. The interviews are in Croatian. We also announce the concert in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, King Street Big Band – “World Peace in One Hour”, April 14th, 2018, 7:30 PM. Međunarodno priznata pijanistica i pjesnikinja, Dubrovkinja Ivana Marija Vidović gostovat će u sklopu 40. koncertne sezone – Amici della Musica u Teatru Garibaldi u Mazari del Vallo na Siciliji.Dva koncerta u nizu nazvana “La canzone e poesia” oba iste večeri i to u subotu 24. ožujka s početkom u 18:15 a potom u 20:45. Vidović je pozvana kao posebna gošća ovog projekta. Nastupit će uz Giovannija Mattaliana, eklektičkog talijanskog klarinetistu, saksofonistu, skladatelja i profesora na Konzervatoriju u Palermu.
Max Emanuel Cencic distinguished countertenor recipent of the Diapason d'Or prize in France 2018
The French opera magazine Diapason has awarded the newly released CD Germanico in Germania (opera by Nicola Porpora) with their prestigious Diapason d’or in their March issue. The CD honored in this way has been performed by Max Emanuel Cencic (Germanico), Julia Lezhneva (Ersinda), Dilyara Idrisova (Rosmonda), Mary-Ellen Nesi (Arminio), Juan Sancho (Segeste), Hasnaa Bennani (Cecina), with Capella Cracoviensis (orchestra), Jan Tomasz Adamus (conductor). This prestigious award will be resumed in December 2018.

Franjo Krežma entered the Vienna Conservatory as nine-years-old boy, and was the youngest student of this Conservatory ever! He ended his student days at the age of 13. He began the spectacular concert career all over Europe. When he was sixteen, a concert audience in Rome, Prague, Venice, Geneva and Paris already adored him. The critics pointed to the beauty of his sound and a phenomenal interpretation, and one wrote: “Anatomy of the genius is futile work!” In Italy, he was honored to play on Paganini’s violin, and at age 17, he became a concertmaster at the Berlin Royal Orchestra (today’s Berlin Philharmonic). His compositions are performed by Krešimir Marmilić and Yoko Nishii, who issued a CD.

Jelko Yuresha Croatian ballet prodigy at the Royal Ballet in London since 1962
Jelko Yuresha was born in 1937 as Željko Jureša in Croatia’s capital Zagreb. In 1958, Jelko Yuresha emigrated to England, later gaining United Kingdom citizenship. Yuresha made his professional debut as a first guest artist with the newly formed Irish Theatre Ballet in Dublin. He joined London Festival Ballet (today English National Ballet) in 1959. In 1959, Yuresha partnered with Belinda Wright at a Royal Command Performance before Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in Manchester. Jelko Yuresha and Belinda Wright married in 1961. In 2017, Mr. Jelko Yuresha has donated his valuable ballet collection to his native City of Zagreb.
London piano recital by Stefan Warzycki in aid of the International Trust for Croatian Monuments 28 Feb 2018
The recital of distinguished pianist Stefan Warzycki is being given in aid of the International Trust for Croatian Monuments, which was founded in 1991 under the auspices of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (UK) in response to damage and destruction of monuments of culture in Croatia caused by war. It has supported the restoration of churches, cathedrals, museums, libraries and works of art. All of the music in this recital is for the left hand alone, composed by J.S. Bach (Brahms’s superb arrangement), F. Bridge, D. Lipatti, M. Moszkowski, L. Godowski, P.Z. Novak). The concert will be held at Leighton House Museum, 12 Holland Park Road, London, W14 8LZ, on Wed 28 Feb 2018 at 7:30 p.m.
Marijan Duzel distinguished Croatian pianist of younger generation
Marijan Đuzel (1990), extraordinarily talented young Croatian pianist, studied with Djordje Stanetti and Dubravka Tomšić, and currently studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Aleksandar Madžar. He gave recitals at many festivals such as Music at Eelswamp (Thailand), International Keyboard Institute & Festival (New York), Nei Suoni dei Luoghi (Italy), as well as Hvar Summer Festival, Zadar Concert Season, Rab Musical Evenings, Concerts in Euphrasian Basilica, Youth at Lisinski (Croatia) and others.

Mihael Feric founded Tambura Museum in Brod na Savi Croatia unique in the world
Mihael Ferić, distinguished Croatian expert for tamburitza music, founded the Tambura Museum in the town of Brod na Savi in 2012, which is unique in the world. It contains a fascinating collection of tamburitza instruments of amazing versatility, since the mid 19th century until today, as well as a rich collection of various manuals and books. The most valuable book has been written by Mr. Ferić himself, entitled “Croatian Tambura Breviary”, written in Croatian. Croatian tamburitza orchestral play widespread throughout the world
Croatian tamburitza tradition goes back to the mid 19th century, when orchestral tamburiza play has been introduced in the city of Osijek on the NW of Croatia. It soon became quite widespread, not only in Croatia, but in many other countries throughout the world. Tamburitza play is an essential part of Croatian music culture, recognizable throughout the globe, especially in the USA, Argentina, Chile and Australia. In Croatia, there even used to be tamburitza orchestras for blind children. Orchestras for girls and women bear witness of an early emancipation of Croatian women already in the early 1900s. Ivica Percl's song Stari Pjer – Old Pierre – interpreted by Greek singer Nana Mouskouri in German and French
Ivica Percl (1945-2007) was Croatian singer, composer and painter, who accompanied his singing with his guitar and harp. His best known song is Stari Pjer, composed by Đorđe Novković. It is very little known that this song was beautifully interpreted by a famous Greek singer Nana Mouskouri, in French and in German. In this article we collect some of their interpretations of the song, as well as by a few other singers. As a musician, he took part in defense of Croatia with his guitar on warious Croatian battlefields, since 1991. He was a very modest and unassuming person.
