Tamara Gal playing five waltzes by distinguished Croatian pianist and composer Bozidar Kunc
Tamara Gal, young and talented Croatian pianist, interprets masterpieces of Božidar Kunc (Zagreb 1903 – Detroit 1964), as well as of Dora Pejačević (Budapest 1885 – Munich 1923), the first Croatian woman – composer of international reputation. Tamara has appeared as a soloist with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Vjekoslav Šutej. She servs as Youth on the Move Ambassador for Croatia, and has organized several humanitarian concerts.

S velikim zadovoljstvom najavljujemo koncert japanske pijanistice Yoko Nishii koji se održava u povodu 25. obljetnice uspostave diplomatskih odnosa Japana i Hrvatske. Koncert će biti održan se u nedjelju, 16. prosinca 2018. u Studiju Bajsić HRT-a u organizaciji Veleposlanstva Japana i Hrvatske radiotelevizije. Koncert će početi uz televizijski prijenos uživo na HTV3 u 18:50 sati. Do sada je održala brojne solističke recitale u Hrvatskoj: 47 solističkih recitala u 24 grada.
Steve Novosel Croatian-American jazz bassist and educator
Steven (Steve) Novosel is an American professional jazz bassist and educator whose 40-plus year career has spanned numerous genre, from traditional jazz to swing, bebop, mainstream and avant garde. Born in Farrell in 1940, Pennsylvania outside Pittsburgh in 1940, Novosel is of Croatian-American heritage. Although left-handed, Novosel mastered the double bass playing it in a right-hand set up.
Nenad Bach at the nuclear reactor in Stockholm 30 m below
In September 2018, Nenad Bach visited the nuclear reactor in Stockholm, as a part of his @KTH appearance at the MTF 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden. It is interesting that he had the honor of playing music on a piano placed near the very bottom of the reactor. His message was an invitation to global peace: “World Peace In One Hour”. “World Peace in One Hour” is the vision of Nenad Bach, international recording artist, composer, producer and peace activist. Over the past 25 years, Nenad has crafted a Roadmap to World Peace based on the premise that “Peace is Profitable”.
Ivana Marija Vidovic Croatian pianist and Koji Miura Japanese clarinettist playing in Italy
Parva Mundi Duo composed of Ivana Marija Vidović and Koji Miura is a Croatian-Japanese classical music duo which will have a concert on October 6th, 7th and 8th 2018, in Bari, Italy. Their program consists of the pieces of Debussy, Liszt, Faure, Piazola, as well as of Croatian and Japanese authors. Both musicians have recently participated with great success at the 12th Epidaurus Festival in Cavtat (near Dubrovnik) in Croatia, of which Ivana Marija Vidovic is the founder and director.

Ivana Marija Vidović, Croatian pianist and poet, is the founder and director of the Epidaurus Festival in Cavtat, Croatia, which this year enters into its 12th season. Cavtat, a lovely town on Croatian coast, near the city of Dubrovnik, has become a meeting point of music, dance, painting and beautiful nature. This time, among other distinguished guests, will be Renzo Ruggieri, Italian jazz accordion player.

Yoko Nishii’s concert, to be held in Sinj, Alka Halls, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 20.00, will honor 180th anniversary of Franciscan classic grammar school in Sinj and 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Croatia and Japan. She studied at the music academies in Japan and Croatia. This will her 47th soloist concert in Croatia. Yoko has prepared an excellent double CD with works of Dora Pejačević, the first internationally known Croatian woman compser. Yoko-san speaks Croatian. Her music program at the concert will include J.S. Bach, Franz Liszt, Kosaku Yamada, Dora Pejačević and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Renata Novoselec author of a new violin methodology for teaching deaf
Renata Novoselec, Zagreb, Croatia, is an author of a new methodology of learning how to play the violin. In addition to the developmental component, the project has therapeutic goals. It is focused on deaf people, and also on those with physical and mental disabilities. It is available for anyone who wants to learn how to play the violin, but hasn’t had any formal musical education yet. According to Thomas Sanderling, world’s famous German conductor, ‘It is revolution in world of music and in world of deaf people.’
Croatia and France in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Moscow
This is the greatest succes of Croatian football in history, surpassing the third place of Croatian soccer team in 1998 during the FIFA World Cup in France. We recall the names of Davor Šuker, Zvonimir Boban and Slaven Bilić from 1998, and the names of Luka Modrić, Ivan Rakitić and Dejan Lovren in 2018. Before arriving to the final match, Croatian won in matches with very strong teams: England, Russian Federation, Denmark, Argentina and Nigeria. Furthermore, we indicate in this article some very interesting historical and cultural contacts between Croatia and France. In June 2018, the Dubrovnik pianist Ivana Marija Vidović performed again in Amsterdam as part of the concert season of the Pianola Museum in the heart of a fairy-tale city with 1500 bridges! The successful concert celebrated the great French composer Claude Debussy on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of the composer, while the young Polish violinist Karina Sosnowska also performed with Vidovic, while the poetry by Ivana Marija Vidović translated into English were beautifully read by Marijke Brekelmans.
Croatia 3 – 0 Argentina at the FIFA World Cup held in the Russian Federation 2018
After defeating Nigeria 2 – 0, Croatia achieved sensational 3 – 0 result against a very strong Argentinean team, led by Messi, the best contemporary soccer player. Some of the Croatian players are of world-wide fame, like Luka Modrić (captain), Ivan Rakitić (on the photo), Mario Mandžukić, Ivan Perišić, Dejan Lovren, Mateo Kovačić etc., directed by Zlatko Dalić as a coach. The match took place in Nižni Novgorod in the Russian Federation. The greatest Croatian success at previous FIFA World Cup championships was achieved in 1998, when our national team won the third place, with players such as Davor Šuker, Zvonimir Boban, Slaven Bilić etc., under the baton of Ćiro Blažević.

Participating the 16th International Dvigrad Festival of Early Music are Ensemble Dialogos with Katarina Livljanić (Fr), Ensemble Antonima Frottolisti (It), Ensemble Lucidarium (It), Centotrecento Ensemble (It), Elena Roce, soprano, and Ema Stein, Renaissance lute, Ensemble Responsorium (Hr), Capella Sanctae Sophiae (Hr). The Festival is organized under the auspices of Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, president of the Republic of Croatia. Alojzije Prosoli is the founder and director of the International Dvigrad Festival of Early Music, as well as of the Musica Sacra (Sveta glazba) association in Zagreb. The town of Dvigrad is placed in Istrian peninsula on the SW of Croatia, not far from the city of Pula.

On 4th May, 2018, Nenad visited the International Table Tennis Federation in Sweden and presented the Ping Pong Parkinson project, an initiative of which he is the founder having recently organized a tournament at the Westchester Club in New York for those who suffer from the illness.

Ivana Marija Vidovic translated into Croatian the verses written in 1876 in honor of Franjo Krezma in Verona
In 1876, young Croatian violinist Franjo Krežma (on the photo), then at the age of 14, had a series of three consecutive concerts at the Ristori Theatre in Verona, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th December. The concerts have been announced by beautiful verses written by anonymous Italian author G.D. The verses have been translated into Croatian in 2018 by Ivana Marija Vidović, distinguished Croatian pianist, poetesse and writer. Franjo Krežma was a violin prodigy: he earned his diploma at the Conservatory of Vienna at the age of 13! He died very young, at the age of 19.
